What a season for the Pacific Indians Wrestling Program.  The MSHAA Wrestling Championships, held on February 14-16, capped off one of the best years in school history for any program.  Throughout the 2018-2019 season, the varsity wrestlers brought home three tournament championships.  In dual meets the Indians were 23-4 on the year, including their undefeated run through the Four Rivers, which earned them a second straight conference crown.  But the Wrestling Indians saved the best for last as they qualified seven wrestlers for the MSHSAA Wrestling Championships.  State qualifiers included Noah Patton (126), Callum Sitek (132), Colton Thompson (138), Nathan Murray (152),  Ben Courtney (160), Jay Anding (170), and Trevor Heitsch (220).  Each of the wrestlers played big roles for the team at the state tournament, as each of them won matches to garner some team points.  Pacific ended with four state medalist as Patton placed 3rd, and Sitek, Courtney, and Anding all placing 2nd.  With the success of the group, Pacific was able to bring home a 4th place team plaque for Class 3.  It is the first time since 2005 (baseball) that a PHS athletic team placed in the state tournament.  Congratulations to the team and coaching staff on an outstanding season!
